Giving You the Family dog of your Dreams!  This course is designed for puppies and dogs with little or no prior training.  The best age to start a new puppy is at 10-12 weeks a key socialization period, newly adopted dogs should ideally start classes 2-3 weeks after adoption to allow for a bonding period.  You will learn how to have a positive relationship with your dog, encouraging and rewarding positive behaviours, while learning how to address and correct the behaviours you do not want, such as; jumping up and running away.  Additionally, we provide safe and interactive social play at the end of each class. All dogs must be vaccinated appropriate to their age level and non-aggressive. 

You and your dog will learn:

• Sit, down, stay, come, leave-it, leash walking
• Sit in front of people and other dogs
• Commands with words, hand signals, and body language
• The use of praise, treats, toys to reward behaviours
• How to get your dog to respond without a food treat
• How to correct, address, or ignore poor behaviours
• Socialization with people and other dogs
• Walking nicely on a short leash and a loose leash

Problem Solving

• Potty training, crate training, mouthing, chewing
• Dog won’t do anything without a treat bribe
• Jumping up, nipping, begging at the table
• Over excitement at front door when guest come
• Excessive barking, crate training problems, not listening to children
• Running away, jumping out the front door, chasing the cat
